THE CENTENNIAL TRAIL & BADLANDS TRAIL RIDE

May 27th-30th

I have had so many requests for trips on both the Centennial Trail & the Badlands, that I decided to combine the rides into one ride that will utilize the best of both areas. The Centennial Trail & Badlands ride will operate out of a primitive camp that you can drive to in your vehicle, be it a large motor home, pickup , or even a small car. There will be no hookups of any kind. If you would like to bring your own horse (no stallions), you would be responsible for pens or an electric fence. I will furnish certified weed free hay. We use the creek for watering the horses.

Your first meal with us will be lunch on the 1st day. Supper will be Chicken Fried Steak, potatoes, vegetable, coffee, hot chocolate. Breakfast is pancakes, sausage, coffee, hot chocolate. We will provide sack lunches all four days, 2nd nite-Boneless pork chops, scalloped potatoes, vegetable, coffee, hot chocolate. Breakfast will be French toast, bacon, coffee, hot chocolate. 3rd nite- Supper will be Rib eye tips, potatoes, vegetable, coffee, hot Chocolate. Breakfast will be blueberry pancakes , sausage, coffee, hot chocolate.

The first day’s ride will be a nice leisurely cloverleaf ride out of camp to give everyone a chance to get used to riding in the Black Hills. The 2nd day we will load the horses in the trailers and drive to the trailhead in Custer State Park and ride out to see the Buffalo. The 3rd day we will load the horses in the trailers and go down to the Badlands trailhead and explore that country. The 4th day, we load the horses in the trailers and go to the Spring Creek Canyon Area to try to find the Big Horn Sheep that live there.

In the evening, we will listen to Cowboy songs, poems & stories. We will have a Campfire, (fire restrictions permitting). Our sleeping arrangements are range tents with floors and zippers. All you need to bring is your sleeping bag and personal gear.

The fee for this 4 day combined ride is $325.00 per day per person plus 5% State Sales Tax. A deposit of 50% of the total due is required to hold your reservation with the balance due 30 days prior to the start of your adventure. We accept Master Card, Visa, Cashiers Checks & Personal Checks.

Join us for 4 wonderful days on the trail in the beautiful Black Hills & Badlands of South Dakota.
